PARPAS – High speed working center – ACTIVE FIVE
The model ACTIVE FIVE is a high speed working center with fixed portal and mobile table solution characterized by a very compact and ergonomic line. The machine is equipped with a head to two continuous working axes. The planning with the aid of the system FEM has allowed to optimize the calculation to finished elements making the particularly rigid structures of this model with the total elimination of the vibrations in phase of milling. If to this are added the low attritions and the elevated accelerations of the axes, are gotten so all the characteristics that allow to get particularly bright dynamic performances is in finish, that in roughing, to advantage of the economy of the whole cycle of milling.

High speed fixed portal milling machine with a moving table. An advanced machine giving an innovative solution with a state-of-the-art performance.
All main structures are designed with the most powerful software systems for calculation and analysis.
To obtain the high dynamic control, the machine is built in steel alloy, this solution for its given mass, guarantees greater stiffness compared to conventional materials such as cast iron. This has contributed to the realization of a machine of high precision and rigidity together with outstanding dynamic performance.
All structures undergo a stress relieving heat treatment to eliminate tensions that are created during the transformation process. The linear guides with roller bearings and with a low center of gravity, are widely dimensioned and attached directly to the structures.

Born in 1951 as PARPAS Spa, the GRUPPO PARPAS started as a manufacturer of pantograph machine tools, then of copying machines, and now of numeric control milling units. Over the years, accumulating experience in the sector, its ambitions grew and began to devote itself to the production of CNC milling machines. Currently PARPAS, world market leader in milling and copying of large molds, produces a line of medium-large milling machines with the best technology. Given the initial success, in 1969, ownership decided to set up OMV (Officine Meccaniche Venete) which, since 1972, offered in the market a line of small-medium size machine tools. Originally the proposed range is that of knee-type milling machines, subsequently, in 1974, it mainly directs itself to the production of machine tools featuring stationary bench and movable upright, the first with this particular feature to be built by an Italian company. Today OMV is committed to the realization of high-speed machines that boast, in addition to the working speed, the same precision and flexibility that has always characterized its production. The salient characteristic of PARPAS Group is to build “custom” machine tools, for which design and produce machines on precise specifications of the customer, features well known and recognized worldwide by customers including famous names.
